TanknTop didn't start as a business plan — it started as a knitting unit set up by our grandfather in 1972. What began as a small operation grew steadily under his hands-on approach to fabric and craftsmanship, laying the foundation for everything that came after.
In 1983, they set up a company aa knits our father took the business forward, expanding it from a modest knitting setup into a structured manufacturing operation serving wholesale buyers. Under his leadership, the company built the systems, supplier relationships, and production discipline that still shape how we operate today.
In 2012, the third generation — our current leadership — joined the company, bringing a renewed focus on export-scale capacity, certification, and modern quality control, while keeping the same hands-on manufacturing approach the business was built on.

WHAT DRIVES
What We Actually Make, In-House
Unlike suppliers who outsource production to third-party factories, TanknTop manufactures everything in-house — from knitting the fabric to cutting, stitching, and finishing the final product. We employ our own designer, our own cutting master, and our own stitching workers, which means every stage of production happens under one roof, under our own quality control — not scattered across subcontractors we don't directly oversee.
